Best of Nevada: Opportunity Village Engelstad Campus Thomas & Mack Employment Resource Center

Healthcare

Text size: A A

This 55-year-old nonprofit organization aiding intellectually disabled people opened its third Southern Nevada campus in this new two-building, 100,000-sq-ft complex. The 10-acre campus is designed to help an additional 300 people each day and includes a 55,000-sq-ft employment resource center providing vocational assesment, training and employment. An arts enrichment facility offers visual and performance arts programs. The complex consists of dual concrete tilt-wall buildings, with a courtyard and an amphitheater.

The judges felt this laudable project was very well-executed and fulfills a growing need in the community.
