Construction for the new $8.34-million City of Phoenix Police Smokehouse Trail Police Precinct located at 33355 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix, is nearly 50% complete.
Gilbane Building Co. and Arrington Watkins Architects are providing design-build services for the new precinct, which will replicate the prototype design from the recently constructed Estrella Mountain Police Precinct at 99th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road. It will include nine temporary holding cells, administrative areas, locker rooms, equipment and evidence storage, a public meeting space and a separate four bay maintenance building. The facility is scheduled for completion in July.
