J. Doug Pruitt is retiring as chief executive officer of Sundt Construction, Tempe, Ariz. Pruitt has worked for the company since 1966 and served as CEO for 13 years. He will remain chairman of Sundt's board of directors. His many community and professional affiliations have included serving as past president and life director of the AGC of America and creating the Sundt Foundation in 1999, which will raise more than $5 million for charities this year. David S. Crawford, the current COO of Sundt, will take over as CEO in October.
Darrin Putman has been appointed estimating manager for Albuquerque, N.M.-based Jack B. Henderson Construction Co., where he will serve all five of the firm's Southwest offices. Putman has more than 27 years of experience in the construction industry. He has worked for JBHCC for more than 20 years, serving specialized customers like New Mexico's national laboratories and the state's largest microelectronics manufacturing facility. He holds mechanical contracting licenses in New Mexico and Arizona.
Dennis Hertzog has been named commercial operations manager at W.J. Maloney Plumbing Co. Inc., serving the Phoenix metropolitan area. In his new role, Hertzog will be responsible for estimating, project management and new business development. He has more than 38 years of experience in the plumbing and mechanical industry, including 34 years as a supervisor and estimator. He attended a five-year apprenticeship with U.A. Local 469 in Phoenix. A Phoenix native, Hertzog resides in Sun City West, Ariz.
