David Evans and Associates Acquires New Director
David Evans and Associates Inc. added Mark Borushko as new director of land development for the Phoenix office. Borushko will be responsible for overseeing land development and construction services. Howard Cornell, who previously served in this position, was promoted to a corporate role as business line leader for land development.
Borushko is an Arizona real estate veteran with more than 25 years of experience in real estate development consulting and construction management. He has served as a consultant to landowners, commercial and community developers, and homebuilders in a multitude of capacities. Borushko has managed the entitlement of thousands of acres of land throughout Arizona ranging from small infill sites to large master planned communities. Borushko holds a master’s degree in business administration from what is now known as the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree in urban planning from Michigan State University. Currently, he is a faculty associate in the School of Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture at Arizona State University.
WALTER P MOORE announced the promotion of two employees in the firm’s Las Vegas office. Bill Hassenzahl has been named senior associate. Darnel Gamboa has been named associate.
TDIndustries Inc. promoted Rick Carney to sales manager. In his new position Carney will provide Life Cycle Sales, Service Sales and a Solutions Group. Carney has been with TDIndustries since 2003. TDIndustries Inc. also promoted Chris Brown to operations manager of special projects. Brown has worked in the local HVAC industry since 1991 beginning as a pipefitter apprentice. Brown joined TDIndustries in 2007 as a project manager.
Gilbane Building Co. has named Randy Lowrance as senior vice president, regional manager of business development in the Southwest and Western regions. Lowrance is an 18-year veteran of Gilbane and has over 38 years of construction experience. He has been recognized as a leader in the development of facility implementation strategies and alternative delivery methods. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Southern Arizona Architects & Engineers Marketing Association announced its board member election results for the 2009 fiscal year. Eleven Tucson-area professionals were elected and appointed as officers and directors and were officially installed to the SAAEMA board of directors. Barbara Shuck is a new vice president at Emc2 Group Architects Planners PC. She has been marketing director at Emc2 since 2005. Shuck has more than 25 years of experience in marketing, business development, sales and publishing and has been a small business owner in Arizona. She received a master of business administration from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a bachelor of arts in communication arts and French from Washburn University. She is a Fellow in the Society for Professional Services Marketers, and a Certified Professional Services Marketer.
NAI Horizon announced the hiring of Barbara Lloyd as a vice president in their Investment Services Division. Lloyd will focus on the acquisition and disposition of investment property. Prior to joining NAI Horizon, Lloyd spent four years at Prudential CRES Commercial Real Estate, four years at The Omni Group of Companies and at Rand Commercial Brokers. She graduated from Arizona State University in 1999 with a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish.
Victoria Hansen has been named Environmental Staff Scientist for the Las Vegas office of Geotechnical & Environmental Services Inc. In her position Hansen will be supporting groundwater studies and other special projects. Hansen has a bachelor of science in geology from the University of Nevada.
RMJ Electrical Contractors Inc. added Reggie Blonstein to its team to serve as the director of business development. She is very active in the commercial real estate community where she belongs to numerous trade associations and chairs several committees. Reggie has worked in either sales or business development her entire life.
Nevada Department of Business & Industry has appointed Donald E. Jayne as administrator for the division of industrial relations. Jayne replaces Roger Bremner, who retired as DIR administrator after ten years in the role. Jayne brings a strong background in industrial relations, including extensive experience in insurance operations and workers’ compensation matters as general manager of the State Industrial Insurance System in Carson City. Jayne has also had significant private sector experience in insurance, labor and regulatory matters. He was most recently principal of Jayne & Associates Inc. and is a graduate of Illinois State University, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
