GLHN Architects and Engineers Inc. welcomed eleven new employees to its architecture, engineering, business development and administration departments this year.

Joining electrical engineering are Gilbert C. Brito, electrical CAD technician; Mircia Barbes, P.C., senior electrical engineer; and Justin Jolly, electrical engineer in training. New in mechanical engineering is Michael L. Hart, senior mechanical designer. Geoffrey M. Bradmon, civil project engineer, and Scott E. Eisenfeld, project manager, have joined civil engineering.

The architecture department has added architect Kirke W. Rice, AIA and architectural designers Maria C. Ruedinger and Galina Y. Miller. Paul R. Anzalone, graphic designer, and administrative assistant Cassandra Martin are also new at the firm.


Small Giants has hired Deirdre Booth as a principal, to provide marketing and business development services within the commercial real estate industry. With more than nine years of industry-related marketing and client retention experience, Booth will focus her efforts on strategic planning, marketing plans, CMAR interview coaching/training and public relations.

Prior to joining Small Giants, Booth has worked with several firms, most recently as director of marketing for McCarthy Building Cos.


Yearout Mechanical Inc. has promoted Donna Donoghue as the company's chief operating officer. Donoghue has worked for Yearout for 15 years and is the first COO named in the organization. “Donna understands the construction business and lives our company vision and values,” says Kevin Yearout, president/CEO. “She is a perfect choice to lead our organization to bigger and better things.”


Project engineer James Hoopes based in the Albuquerque, N.M. office of J.B. Henderson Construction Co. received LEED Accreditation for New Construction from the USGBC.


Dale Marr has been named CEO for Concord General Contracting Inc. A 15-year veteran with the company, Marr will continue to serve as the president of the Phoenix office, while providing overall leadership and direction for both the Phoenix and Tucson offices.


Walla Engineering has promoted Larry Kennedy to vice president. Kennedy has been with Walla Engineering since its inception in 1998. He brings to the firm experience within a diverse range of education, office and retail projects. Significant projects Kennedy has worked on include Ventana Ranch Elementary School, UNM Lomas & Ford Plants, Westside Skate Park, Jimmy Carter Middle School and Anasazi Downtown.


Jenny Ellis has joined Summit Builders Construction Co. of Phoenix as a director of business development. Previously with Adolfson & Peterson, Ellis will focus on retail, municipal and office markets in the west valley.

She is involved in numerous non-profit and trade organizations and has received numerous accolades including Distinguished Honor as West Valley 24 Civic Leaders by West Valley Magazine 2007. She is also a Leadership West Alumni and past board member.


EcoWall hired Mark Parren to the company as project manager. He will be responsible for planning, executing and closing of projects. He also oversees production and installation of the Ecolite product. Parren attended Chemeketa Community College and Northwest University where he earned a construction management degree.

EcoWall also hired Redentor "Red" Sabilano II. As head designer for EcoWall, Sabilano is responsible for modeling the drawing components of EcoWall's precast, cellular concrete wall panels using Keymark software. His projects will encompass commercial, hospitality, multi-family residential, hospitals, schools and warehouses. Sabilano earned his degree from ITT Technical Institute.
