After 26 years as president and CEO of Tate Snyder Kimsey Architects (TSK), William E. Snyder, FAIA, is transitioning from his role as president of the firm to serve as chairman of the board. Windom Kimsey, FAIA, will succeed him as president and CEO, assuming day to day leadership of the firm. Continuing with Kimsey in the firm’s leadership is partner Randy Spitzmesser, AIA. As TSK’s chairman of the board, Snyder will dedicate his efforts to special projects benefiting the community and the valley’s children in particular.


Opus West Construction Corp. has promoted Glenn Frey and Rich Montague to senior project managers in the company’s Phoenix headquarters office. In his new role, Frey manages design, permitting and ongoing construction of tenant improvements for Opus West commercial projects in Phoenix, including proposals, budget forecasts and tenant relations. Frey joined Opus West in 2007 after serving as a superintendent, project manager and lead project manager at WEF & Associates. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Arizona State University, is a member of the USGBC and is a LEED accredited professional.

Rich Montague now oversees design-build activity for Opus West multifamily and government projects in Phoenix and New Mexico. This includes public sector design-build proposals as well as Opus’ ongoing activity in the independent senior housing market. Montague joined Opus West in 2004 as a project manager. He previously held project manager positions with Lusardi Construction Co. and Ryan Cos. in Phoenix. He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering from Iowa State University and has attained a LEED accredited professional designation from the USGBC.


Sherry Whetten, IIDA, has joined ABA Architects as director of technology. ICDQ certified, Whetten earned a bachelor degree in interior design. Her career experiences in design and construction documents drove her to learn more about Building Information Modeling (BIM) and to take her first ArchiCAD software class. In addition to her work with ABA Architects, she teaches her passion for building modeling through ArchiCAD user clinics.


Jason Bowsher has been hired as Tucson branch manager of Marco Crane & Rigging Co. Bowsher came from Freeport-McMoran Cooper & Gold in which he was employed for approximately eight years. His position included commodity manager, global & regional mining equipment, procurement process leader, operations supervisor, project engineer, and mining planning engineer. His formal education comes from the University of Arizona in which he received a Bachelor of Science degree in mining engineering and A Masters Of Business Administration degree in general management.


The Korte Company has hired Tom Dome as project engineer to the Las Vegas project management staff. Dome is originally from Granada Hills, Calif. and has worked in various capacities in the construction industry for more than 14 years.


Corey Brooks has joined the Phoenix office of Design Workshop as an associate and landscape designer. Brooks has been with Design Workshop for 10 years, recently transferring from the Asheville, North Carolina office. His experience is in commercial and resort planning, urban design, park planning and garden design.

NAI Horizon Commercial Real Estate has hired Susan McCall as a Healthcare RealtySource agent in the medical office category with a focus on the southeast valley.

McCall comes to NAI Horizon from the RE/MAX Alliance Group where she worked within the commercial brokerage division, specializing in office and retail properties. Prior to joining RE/MAX Alliance, she was founder and CEO of Coppola West LLC. After 11 years McCall merged her firm with Resource and Design, where she was vice president of sales, marketing and business development.

NAI also hired Jordan John as an agent. John will specialize in office acquisitions and dispositions, including both leases and sales, and comes to NAI Horizon from Les Larsen & Associates, where he worked as a sales and leasing associate. A graduate of the University of Phoenix, he also is fluent in Spanish.


ROEL Construction’s Las Vegas office has hired Shay Williamson as marketing communications manager. Williamson has five years experience in marketing and advertising.

Curt Favinger rejoins ROEL from military leave as project manager. Serving as a lieutenant in the US Marine Reserves, he originally joined ROEL in 2001 and holds a degree in construction management from the University of Nebraska.


Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) has expanded its Tempe staff with the hiring of Thomas O’Reilly, Jess Segovia, Perry Powell, Kirit Rajyaguru and Jim Mischler.

A senior principal engineer, O’Reilly has 24 years of experience in urban highway planning and design. At PB, he serves as segment manager for the freeway corridor management consultant contract with ADOT. O’Reilly earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.

As senior supervising transportation planner, Segovia will manage PB’s Tempe office planning group. Segovia holds a Master of Arts degree in business management from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication from California State University in Fullerton.

A senior supervising construction engineer, Powell has over 30 years of experience in the planning, development, design and construction of transportation facilities. Powell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Arizona.

A supervising engineer, Rajyaguru has 25 years of experience in design and supervision of highway and civil engineering projects. Rajyaguru earned a Master of Science degree and Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the National Institute of Technology at Kakatiya University in India.

Jim Mischler has been named a senior engineering manager. Mischler has 30 years of experience in transportation planning and design, bridge and structural design and floodplain delineations. Mischler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Ohio Northern University.


Loreto Bay Design Group added Matt Lamont, RA as a partner. Lamont brings over 20 years of experience in the healthcare, mixed-use commercial, mission-critical and hospitality markets to the firm. He is a LEED accredited professional, is NCARB certified, and holds active licenses to practice in 10 states. Lamont holds a bachelor of architecture degree from the University of Southern California.


David Sabers, P.E., has joined Stanley Consultants as traffic engineering department manager. Sabers has over 20 years of experience, including managing the traffic engineering departments with several other national consulting firms and has almost 10 years of public sector experience working for the cities of Phoenix and Glendale. A licensed professional engineer, Sabers earned his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Arizona.
