V3’s new appointments include two new managing directors along with two new project managers.

V3 Companies of Arizona Ltd. has named Michael Wolf P.E. and Greg Wolterstroff P.E. as managing directors. Wolf previously served as director of land development and has over 15 years of professional and technical experience in civil engineering for commercial sites, public works projects and master planned residential developments. Wolterstorff previously served as water resources director and has over 11 years of experience in civil engineering with an emphasis in private land development. His experience includes coordination and entitlement of commercial and residential projects, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, FEMA permitting and identification and remediation of water quality and erosion control problems. Wolf has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Arizona State University. Wolterstorff has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Calvin College and a masters of business administration from DePaul University.

V3 has also named Brent Steffenhagen P.E. to its team as project manager in the land development division. Steffenhagen brings over seven years of professional experience in the design of commercial land development projects, including feasibility studies and site investigations, developing detailed designs, preparing preliminary and final engineering plans in accordance with applicable standards, producing supplemental hydrology, sewer and water reports, providing technical support throughout the permit process and construction administration. Steffenhagen has a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

Lastly, V3 has appointed Whitney Smelser, RLS to its team as project manager in the survey division. Smelser brings over 15 years of professional experience as a cadastral surveyor with the Bureau of Land Management, a professional witness in civil cases and consultant for public and private entities. His expertise includes the Public Land Survey System, large or small scale mapping, land development of commercial and residential projects, right-of-way acquisition and utility route surveying. Smelser has a bachelor of science degree in surveying from New Mexico State University and is a professional land surveyor in Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico.

HDR has promoted Mark Forest P.E., from operations manager to western regional director of water resources. Ruedy Edgington, P.E, has joined HDR as the new operations manager. Both are based in the firm’s Reno office. Forest will be responsible for managing 170 water resources professionals in HDR’s western region, which covers 11 states including Nevada and is expected to grow to more than 200 professionals in the next year. Forest has been with HDR since 2004. Edgington will manage engineering operations in northern Nevada, including the water and transportation groups. Prior to joining HDR, he was an area manager/vice president for Parsons Transportation Group. He also spent 25 years with the Nevada Department of Transportation, most recently as assistant director. 

Don Chall has been hired as estimating manager for Jack B. Henderson Construction Company Inc. Chall has over 30 years experience in all aspects of construction estimating, management, commissioning and close-out. He will be responsible for management and coordination of mechanical, architectural and general contracting estimates in support of operations in Albuquerque, Los Alamos, Rio Rancho, Colorado Springs and Utah.

McCarthy Southwest Region has hired Matt Adcock as a business development manager for Arizona, supporting the company’s outreach efforts in the southwest. In this position Adcock is responsible for supporting new business development and marketing in the public, education, healthcare and commercial sectors. Adcock moved into his new role after serving as project engineer on McCarthy projects Banner Gateway Hospital and Perry High School in Chandler. He is a graduate of Florida State with a degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in business administration. During his college career he interned with McCarthy, honing his experience on the project management side.

Harris Consulting Engineers has promoted three employees in the business group. Rosie Saldivar has been named business manager and is working on fiscal forecasting and budgeting for the firm. Rosie has been with HCE since 2004, overseeing administrative functions for the office.

 Judy Hughes has been named business development manager and is responsible for leading all marketing efforts. Judy started at HCE in 2005 as an executive assistant with years of experience in management in the construction and banking industries.

 Vanita Torrez has been promoted to marketing coordinator. Vanita was hired in 2005 as an administrative assistant. She has over 10 years of experience leading marketing, sales and public relations campaigns, and quickly established herself as a valuable member of the marketing group for HCE. 

Adolfson & Peterson Construction (A&P) has announced that Brock Huttenmeyer is stepping into the senior vice president role for the southwest region commencing immediately. Brock will now oversee all operations for A&P’s southwest region. Huttenmeyer has 23 years of construction experience, most recently as A&P’s vice president of preconstruction services for the southwest region.  Brock has been with A&P nearly four years and has been a senior member of the southwest regional management team for the last three years.

Adolfson & Peterson Construction (A&P) has also announced the addition of Russ Floreske to the organization. Floreske will take on the newly created role of director of operations for the Arizona office. Russ began his commercial construction career in 1998 after serving 20 years in the United States Navy as a nuclear-trained electronics technician and aircraft carrier overhaul project officer. As director of operations, Russ assumes responsibility for office focus and operational support in the Arizona region.

Perini Building Company promoted Christopher Anderson to vice president of field operations and Joseph Miller to vice president of operations - special projects.

As vice president of field operations, Anderson is responsible for supervising project managers, field personnel and jobsite logistics on specific projects. Duties include developing strategic project start-up procedures, tracking construction costs, enforcing project schedules, guaranteeing quality control and overseeing safety.

As vice president of operations - special projects, Miller is responsible for providing management with a critical assessment of operational performance, workflow analyses and processes on Perini projects. He will perform varied operational and financial projects impacting cost, general accounting, financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting. In addition, Miller will oversee significant special projects in all areas of operations and financial management. Other duties include analyzing capital requests and working with operations to develop comprehensive assessments.

JMA has announced the appointments of Thomas Boshaw, director of design; Randi Graber, hospitality development manager; Marvin Chandler, contractor administrator; Ria Bornilla, interior designer II; and Tabatha Soapes, interior designer II.

JMA has also announced the appointments of Isabel Henry, marketing manager, Philip Smith, contract administration manager; Pahnnie Tremblay, graphic designer; and Michael Sapronetti, senior contract administrator.
