Dekker/Perich/Sabatini Promotes Five to Principal
With a cumulative 90 years experience in the architecture field, these professionals will be responsible for various functions at the design firm.
Dekker/Perich/Sabatini promoted five individuals to the position of principal.
Ann Marie Dennis, AIA is a leader in Dekker/Perich/Sabatini's commercial practice area. She brings to the team over 19 years experience with retail, office, industrial and hospitality projects.
Jeff Fleming, AIA, LEED AP, has more than 22 years of architecture, planning, design and project management experience working on a wide range of project types.
With over 13 years of experience, Bobby George, AIA, LEED AP, is responsible for the design, production and coordination of large healthcare facilities.
Garrett Pendergraft, AIA, manages the day to day operations of Dekker/Perich/Sabatini's Amarillo office and has over 23 years of design and project management experience.
With over 13 years of experience, Barry Taylor, AIA, is in charge of design for all of the projects in Dekker/Perich/Sabatini's Amarillo office.
Steven Holley has joined CMC Construction Services as Albuquerque's branch manager. He has more than 22 years of construction industry experience. Holley's role as branch manager is to oversee the construction-related products division in Albuquerque, whichs include tilt wall, forming systems and waterproofing.
Rider Levett Bucknall hired Scott Sumners as associate principal. His primary responsibility is to manage client relations and reporting for nationwide development management assignments. Sumners joins the company after working with the city of Phoenix for the past ten years in a number of capacities including deputy director for the Phoenix Convention Center and special projects administrator for the aviation department.
Holland & Hart has hired Manita Rawat at the firm's Las Vegas office. Rawat focuses her practice on construction litigation, global climate change, environmental and natural resources. She has a strong technical background in biochemistry and applied mathematics. Prior to law school, she worked for California Environmental Protection Agency's Department of Toxic Substances Control where she helped develop standards and upper tolerance limits for harmful toxins on land sites and analyzed technical issues in legislative bills related to environmental compliance. She also worked as a researcher in a lab for the biochemistry department at the University of Nevada's School of Medicine.
Senior project manager Donald (D.J.) Alm joins Johnson Carlier with 15 years of experience in the construction industry. Alm is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a degree in construction management. He has previously provided construction services to firms in Colorado and Arizona.
John M. Davis, PE, has joined Stantec's Tucson office as a project manager in the firm’s construction services group. Davis will lead Stantec Tucson's construction management/inspection division. Prior to joining Stantec, Davis spent 14 years working with the Pima County Wastewater Management Department where he served as a civil engineer. Davis received his bachelor of science in civil engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his master of regional planning from the University of North Carolina.
Edward J. Kessler has also joined Stantec's Tucson office as a senior traffic engineer. Prior to joining Stantec, Kessler served as a engineering project manager for the city of Tucson, where he managed projects for Traffic Engineering's Capital, Bond, Regional Transportation Authority, and federally funded projects. Kessler received his bachelor of science in chemistry from Hofstra University and his master of science in geology from the University of Arizona.
Robert J. Franson, PE has joined Stantec's Flagstaff office as a project manager. Prior to joining Stantec, Franson worked as the capital improvements engineer for the city of Flagstaff where he co-managed the CIP section administering an annual $80 million work program. Franson received his bachelor of science in civil engineering from Colorado State University and his master’s in business administration from The University of Colorado.
Road Machinery LLC has promoted Danny McGaugh to vice president of construction equipment sales. In his new position, McGaugh is responsible for managing the construction equipment sales force at Road Machinery's eight operations throughout the southwest. McGaugh has more than 20 years of experience in the construction and mining equipment business, including 10 years visiting mining sites throughout the world while selling mining and construction equipment. He has worked at Road Machinery for the past six years, with steadily increasing responsibility. His first position was construction, aggregates and national accounts manager. Within a year he was promoted to marketing support manager, then headed up the parts department. Most recently, he was general manager of the Tucson, Ariz. facility where sales increased over seven times while staff tripled during the year he held the position.
Martin-Harris Construction has appointed Jim McCarthy as director business development. McCarthy has extensive construction experience that includes project management, estimating and business development.
JE Dunn Construction's Phoenix office has promoted David Burton, who has been with JE Dunn for 10 years, to assistant vice president, and will lead the efforts for major projects throughout the Valley. Burton recently relocated from JE Dunn's Portland, Ore. office. Burton is a graduate of Oregon Institute of Technology's civil engineering program.
Bret Pennington has joined JE Dunn as project manager, initially overseeing the company's branch bank program. Pennington, a fourth generation Phoenician and Arizona State University graduate in construction management, has been involved in a variety of Valley construction projects working as both a superintendent and project manager over the past six years.
The Post-Tensioning Institute has hired Jennifer Solomon as the marketing communications director. In her new role, Solomon will provide a broad range of communications and marketing support to the organization by managing the association's public relations, marketing and membership outreach.
Prior to joining PTI, Solomon served as the communications manager for the League of California Cities, Orange County Division as well as the Orange County Council of Governments. Solomon received her master’s degree in public relations from California State University, Fullerton.
