CLC Associates and American Asphalt
Appoint New CEO's
CLC Associates in Phoenix named
Walt Dutko as the firm's new
president and CEO, while James Malone
takes on the same role for Nevada's American
Asphalt & Grading Co.
Walt Dutko is the new president and CEO of CLC Associates.
Dutko has more than 34 years of experience in management,
operations and business systems within the professional services
industry. Prior to joining CLC Associates, he provided business
consulting services to architects, engineers and consultants
through his own firm, P&L Management Consultants, LLC.
CLC also named Sake H. Reindersma, AIA, as vice president
of the Arizona Architecture Division. Reindersma brings 21
years of architectural design experience, including 16 years
of commercial experience with retail facilities and prototype
store designs.
American Asphalt & Grading Co.
has appointed James R. Malone
as President and CEO to replace Paul Robinson, who has become
Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Malone is the founding
and managing partner of Qorval, LLC headquartered in Naples,
Florida. Additionally, Malone has served as Chairman or CEO
of a number of middle-market companies in the aerospace, automotive,
trucking/logistics, and healthcare industries.
Michael MacVittie has joined
Allen + Philp Architects in
Scottsdale, AZ as a Senior Architect. MacVittie is a veteran
in the Phoenix architectural community with more than 30 years
of experience as an architect, including 22 years as a partner
in his own firm. For Allen + Philp, he provides site analysis
and yield studies, master planning, space planning, design
development and contract documentation on a variety of mixed-use,
hospitality and residential projects.
Jodi Joyce is the new preconstruction
assistant at The PENTA Building Group.
In her new role with PENTA, Joyce will be responsible for
assisting with preconstruction estimating including bidding,
conceptual budgeting, scope development, contract preparation
and assisting with subcontract buyout.
Ann Seibert, CPSM, joined Durrant's
Phoenix office as Business Development Manager. Seibert will
direct overall business development and marketing strategies.
Durrant's Phoenix office also announced the retirement of
Louis Schmitt, PE. During his five years with Durrant, he
made significant contributions to the firm's success as Vice
President of Durrant Group Inc., Director of Civil Engineering,
and President of Durrant Capital Resources.
The Nevada Contractors Association
named Shawn Martin of KHS&S
Contractors to its Board of Directors. NCA is a 10-year-old
construction association representing the state's largest,
oldest and most prominent commercial general contractors.
Justin Manchester will be manager
of Speedie & Associates, Inc.'s
Tucson Branch office. Manchester's responsibilities will include
the marketing, management and implementation of all geotechnical,
environmental and construction monitoring and materials testing
and laboratory services for projects in Pima County and Southern
Arizona. He brings 30 years of experience with specialized
expertise in the fields of construction materials testing
and special structural inspection.
The Weitz Company has promoted
Trent Mostaert and Dennis
Gilbert as construction managers. Mostaert started
as a project engineer and rose to senior project manager.
Gilbert has 32 years of experience in the construction industry.
Both graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Construction
Engineering from Iowa State University. Their new responsibilities
will include team assignments, evaluation of job planning
and performance, supervision of subcontracting and purchasing
activities, equipment purchase decisions, subcontractor relations,
innovation in building materials and methods and policy development
and implementation for construction operations.
