Michael E. Miller was appointed to the newly
created position of senior vice president and principal-in-charge of the
Bovis Lend Lease Las Vegas office. In this role, Miller will oversee the
operations of the newly reopened Las Vegas office, strategically develop both
short- and long-term plans with distinct goals, define and implement methods of
accomplishment meeting objectives, which are consistent with overall company strategies.
Miller's 40-year career in the construction industry has involved
all methodologies and market sectors including site development, infrastructure
and utilities, high- and low-rise commercial, residential, industrial and healthcare
buildings, as well as stadium construction.
Miller received a Bachelor
of Science in Construction from Arizona State University, College of Architecture
in Tempe and most recently served as executive vice president at Marnell Corrao
Associates, a design/build general contractor in Las Vegas. He resides in Las
Vegas.
PinnacleOne announced
that Robert W. Dunlap, a consulting principal
of Environmental Financial Consulting Group, Inc., has been appointed as an outside
director to the company's board. Dunlap will serve on the audit and compensation
committees at PinnacleOne. He has over 30 years experience in the engineering
and construction industry. Dunlap received his PhD in Metallurgical Engineering
from the University of Michigan.
Pat
Schlosser was promoted to COO of Clark & Sullivan,
after being with the firm for 19 years. Schlosser started out at the company headquarters
in Reno as a senior estimator. He became a project manager in 1989 for a brief
period, returning to be a chief estimator and VP in 1996. Three years ago he moved
into the Las Vegas office as Area Manager. In his new position, Schlosser
will be responsible for the operations of all three of Clark & Sullivan's offices
with each office's area manager and the company's chief estimator reporting directly
to him.
In addition, Chris Caluya
will become the new area manager for Clark & Sullivan's Las Vegas office.
CLC Associates has named
Robin Salvagio as senior vice president of the Phoenix and Salt Lake offices.
She will oversee regional operations while managing and coordinating workflow
throughout the company. Robin has been with CLC for nine years.
Johnson Carlier has promoted Emmett
F. "Chip" Hargett to vice president of estimating. Hargett brings 33 years
of construction experience to the position and holds a B.S. in Construction Engineering
from Arizona State University.
Sundt
Construction, Inc. has named Jim Carabell
as the corporate director of talent acquisition. Carabell will be responsible
for recruitment and placement functions and developing and maintaining recruitment
procedures and policies. He will oversee all efforts in recruiting, interviewing,
selecting and hiring of applicants. Carabell hold a degree in philosophy from
Montclair State University. He brings more than five years experience directing
human resources programs specific to the construction industry. Sundt also recently
announced the following additions: Tom Mertz, Business
Development Manager for the Federal Division; Stephanie Spain, Continuous Improvement
Coordinator; and Ronnie "Joe" Cook, Quality Systems Manager.
Jeannine Doyle has been named partner for
Linthicum. Doyle previously served as vice president of Linthicum for more
than three years. During her 16-year career with Linthicum, she has also held
the positions of project engineer, senior project estimator, project manager and
operations manager. Doyle oversees all preconstruction and estimating activities,
contract administration, field operations, subcontract negotiations, cost monitoring
and cost control at Linthicum.
Joe
Lucero has been hired as Network Administrator for
JB Henderson Construction Company. Lucero possesses extensive knowledge
of computer systems and holds an Associates degree in Applied Science/Computer
Information Systems. Joe will be responsible for the management of the entire
JBHCC computer network including maintenance of the website. Joe's expertise
will serve the firm's offices in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Los Alamos and Colorado
Springs.
Durrant announced
that Thomas D. Roach, R.A, has joined the firm
and will be leading development of strategic marketing efforts for the Phoenix
office related to defense, homeland security, aviation and aerospace markets.
Roach received his architectural degree from Oklahoma State University. He developed
his business and management expertise over twenty-seven years in architecture,
engineering and design-build services on projects that include airport terminals,
hangars and operations facilities for clients such as Department of Defense agencies,
National Guard, and the private sector. Durrant also announced that
Dan W. Olson, AIA, LEED AP, has joined the
firm as forensic science expert. Olson's responsibilities will immediately focus
upon developing marketing strategies and applying his operations and project management
leadership experience toward new forensic science opportunities for the Phoenix
office. He received his architecture and interior design degrees from Iowa
State University and has gained more than thirty years of experience in architecture,
project management, and leadership roles.
Graycor Construction Co. Inc. recently promoted
Roger Sautter from senior estimator to southwest area operations manager
of the Phoenix, Ariz. office. Sautter will be responsible for expanding the
company's presence and managing operations in the Southwest. He brings more than
20 years of experience in the construction industry and holds a B.S. in civil
engineering from Purdue University.
