Andrea Friese and Tom Cady, NCARB Promoted
to Principals at DFD CornoyerHedrick

Andrea Friese brings nearly a decade of operations and management experience to the firm. Since beginning with DFD in 1998, she has risen through the ranks and most recently has been responsible for operations management, revenue projections and project staffing.

Tom Cady contributes more than twenty years experience to DFD. Serving as project director in charge of construction administration, he works closely with the QA/QC program, team coordination, concept and project design direction, and ensures adherence to budget and schedule. As a specialist in quality assurance, Cady is responsible for code compliance and review and trains staff accordingly, thereby guaranteeing the proper application of regulations throughout the project.


William "Buzz" Harris has been named the assistant executive director for the Nevada Chapter AGC. He has been actively involved in local, civic and community affairs and is a former candidate for the Nevada State Assembly. Harris is a longtime Northern Nevada resident and has been active in a number of local political activities. A graduate of the University of Nevada Reno, Harris brings considerable experience to the AGC.


J.B. Henderson Construction has hired Sandra Vasquez as project manager. Vasquez brings over six years experience in process piping and mechanical engineering. Vasquez will begin her work with the firm at University Hospital site assisting in the completion of the Children's Critical Care Unit.


Tony Illia was named to the Industry Advisory Board for UNLV's Construction Management Program. Illia is a longtime correspondent for Southwest Contractor and other McGraw-Hill Construction industry publications, including ENR,
Architectural Record, Design-Build, and Constructor.


New Mexico One Call, Inc. (NMOC) , a nonprofit organization that operates a statewide "Call Before You Dig" center, has appointed Dennis J. Woodruff as the organization's new operations manager. Woodruff graduated from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Fla. With a bachelor of science degree in business administration in 1994. In 2003, he earned a Master of Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University.
