A lot has changed since 1938, the year Southwest Contractor magazine commenced publication under a different name. Now in our 72nd year, we enter a new era with the unveiling of our first bimonthly issue.
We are living in a rapidly changing world where news is delivered
through print and, increasingly, through electronic means.
With this in mind, as our print edition becomes a bimonthly
publication, we are significantly stepping up our daily coverage
of the Southwest’s construction and design industries on our
newly re-designed web site, www.southwest.construction.com.
In the near future, we will be adding an e-newsletter and Twitter updates at twitter.
com/swcontractor.
Our web site now has a greater emphasis on breaking news and reader interaction. Visit it to see the latest regional news for Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico, read blog posts by the McGraw-Hill editorial team and upload your own project photos to our reader photo gallery. You can read the latest print edition in its entirety online, or read our archive of every single story and article ever written for Southwest Contractor dating back to our September 2003 issue!

We’ve also become more intimately linked to Engineering News-Record, Architectural Record and GreenSource. For those who frequent these publications’ award-winning web sites, our new design will be very familiar to you.
As we enter this new chapter in the long history of Southwest Contractor, we invite your feedback. Would you like to see something added or improved in our publication or web site? Do you have a news item or a story suggestion to submit? Please call or e-mail to let us know!
Scott Blair, Senior Editor
