Work Restarts on Power Plant

Fluor Corporation recently announced that it has been chosen to complete the Luna Energy Facility located near Deming, New Mexico. Contract value to Fluor was not disclosed and was booked in the first quarter.

Tucson Electric Power Company, Phelps Dodge Energy Services, LLC, and a development subsidiary of PNM Resources (NYSE: PNM) have chosen Fluor to finish work at the 570-megawatt, combined cycle power plant, which was 50 percent complete when construction was stopped by the original owner in 2002. Under terms of the contract, Fluor will provide engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.

Construction started in April and employees in Fluor's Houston office are working to complete the project by summer 2006.

Firm Completes Work

AUI Inc. recently completed work at the Double Eagle Airport in Albuqueruqe.

Crews on the $10 million project installed new water lines to the airport, which will be the future home of Eclipse Aviation, a manufacturer of small business jets.
