Sees Development Developers recently broke ground in Ruidoso, N.M.,
with plans calling for a massive, $84 million project to be called River Crossing
at Ruidoso.
The project is a 14-acre development featuring three restaurant
sites, 60,000 sq. ft. of retail space and 102 condo units in four buildings designed
to compliment the visual theme of the community and the environment. Residents
will be able to walk to restaurants, boutiques and area entertainment. River
Crossing at Ruidoso will include a parking garage, which will be deeded to the
city. This provides approximately 235 parking spaces for residents and visitors
who want to enjoy the village's shopping and entertainment district.
Sensitivity
to the city's heritage and scenic environment is apparent in the plan for a River
Walk as part of the environmental enhancement to the site. The legacy of a Ruidoso
lifestyle is reflected in the plans for this network of walking paths and scenic
stops bordering the river.
