New Towers Move Forward In Las Vegas

Two new condominium projects, Las Vegas Central and the Bungalows Residences Flats at the Hard Rock, are planned to break ground later this year.

40-story Condo Towers Planned

The Clark County Commission approved plans for Las Vegas Central, comprised of two new 40-story condominium towers at Sierra Vista Drive, between Paradise Road and Swenson Street. Las Vegas Central calls for 1,000 high-end residential units, eight swimming pools and 100,000 sq. ft. of commercial retail space. The $1 billion project by Langson Development is expected to begin construction once the county permits are issued. Tutor-Saliba Corp. is the general contractor.

Designed by The Jerde Partnership, the high-rise glass towers are scheduled to open by summer 2007.

Hard Rock To Expand Condos

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is moving ahead with its large-scale condo expansion , the Bungalows Residences Flats at the Hard Rock. The $1.25 billion project financing features two resort condominium towers, three private luxury residence condominium towers and thirty-two poolside bungalows.

Construction is expected to commence in early 2006 and be completed in 2008. The general contractor is M.J. Dean Construction, Inc., with Oppenheim Architecture + Design as the architect.

The project will triple the size of the Hard Rock Las Vegas, adding 1,420 condominiums, an expanded casino floor, a new Joint live performance venue, new restaurants, meeting and ballroom facilities, as well as new resort pools, spas and related amenities.
