| New Towers Move Forward In Las Vegas
Two new condominium projects, Las Vegas Central and the Bungalows
Residences Flats at the Hard Rock, are planned to break ground
later this year.
40-story Condo Towers Planned
The Clark County Commission approved plans for Las Vegas
Central, comprised of two new 40-story condominium towers
at Sierra Vista Drive, between Paradise Road and Swenson Street.
Las Vegas Central calls for 1,000 high-end residential units,
eight swimming pools and 100,000 sq. ft. of commercial retail
space. The $1 billion project by Langson Development is expected
to begin construction once the county permits are issued.
Tutor-Saliba Corp. is the general contractor.
Designed by The Jerde Partnership, the high-rise glass towers
are scheduled to open by summer 2007.
Hard Rock To Expand Condos
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is moving ahead with its
large-scale condo expansion , the Bungalows Residences Flats
at the Hard Rock. The $1.25 billion project financing features
two resort condominium towers, three private luxury residence
condominium towers and thirty-two poolside bungalows.
Construction is expected to commence in early 2006 and be
completed in 2008. The general contractor is M.J. Dean Construction,
Inc., with Oppenheim Architecture + Design as the architect.
The project will triple the size of the Hard Rock Las Vegas,
adding 1,420 condominiums, an expanded casino floor, a new
Joint live performance venue, new restaurants, meeting and
ballroom facilities, as well as new resort pools, spas and
related amenities.
