NMSBVI Early Childhood Program Facility

This preschool for blind and visually impaired children was designed to support student mobility, safety and independence through a multi-sensory design. Clusters of classrooms, common rooms, focus rooms and support spaces provide excellent lighting and acoustic control. Common rooms allow teachers to bring multiple classes together while the corridor is used for therapy, mobility training and wayfinding exercises. Efficient mechanical systems, controlled daylighting and low-VOC materials round out this unique project.
